Street Range 2007

A Production Assignment. Design and produce 3 outfits for a personal range.
I went with street wear drawing my influence from Sailor Jerry and Rockabilly tattoos.
My theme then evolved to war, not only of the world but of people; heart, mind, soul.
Hence ARMISTICE was born in the midst of battle with the hope of reconciliation.
The atonement of man.

(Falling bomb image based off original tattoo artwork by Rachi Brains)

Swimwear 2007

A Production Assignment. Design and produce 3 outfits for a swimwear range.
I designed a print and had it sublimation printed onto lycra.
Sewing swimwear is definatly a challenge, but after 4 months
and many screams of frustration I have my range!
(See 'clothing' page for photographs)

What can i say? Im just a nerd at heart :)

Avant Garde/Cotton 2006

A TAFE assignment. To let ourselves go creatively and not worry about the production side of the design. Create avant garde wearable art. Once the designs had been drawn we then had to puzzle out the production side or adapt them to be produced for the Australian Cotton awards.

Target Lingerie 2006

Designing a range of Lingerie and sleepwear for Target. The range had to be both fashionable but within Target's price limits. Extensive research went into Target, its target market and what its existing ranges offer customers. The designing regulations were very strict. The garments had to be able to sell to the mass market.

Poster for Store Presentation assignment. Background musings.

Using different pieces of artwork to combine and make a new piece.

Moda Italia 2006

Design Assignment to create a range of designs for the Moda Italia Awards.
The theme had to be influenced by Italy in some way. I took my theme from the ancient Italian artwork of saints and depictions of Christ and the replication of these in modern tattoos.
The first design was competed, it can be seen, each piece modelled separately in the clothing section.

Some of the preliminary sketches.

History Assignment 2006

First computer generated illustration assignment. It looked at different sihouttes from different era's.
In this case specifically the early 1800's Directoire and Empire styles and the brash 1980's punk rock style.

We were allowed to embelish the gament anyway we liked, but thought had to go into the production time. We then selected one of the designs to produce.
