A Production Assignment. Design and produce 3 outfits for a personal range.
I went with street wear drawing my influence from Sailor Jerry and Rockabilly tattoos.
My theme then evolved to war, not only of the world but of people; heart, mind, soul.
Hence ARMISTICE was born in the midst of battle with the hope of reconciliation.
The atonement of man.

Cotton Awards 2007
The Australian Cotton Awards are run every year for fashion students.
The challenge is to create a wearable garment made from 100% cotton (calico).
The garment can be dyed and manipulated in anyway and can contain no more than 20% of non cotton materials.
Kirsten drew her inspiration from her avant garde design of the beauty and contrast of the Japanese Cherry Blossom tree - the magnificent way the branches, bark and blossoms are formed and the sheer way it illuminates the landscape.
The dress includes a contrast chenilled bodice with hand made flower embellished straps. The fluted layered skirt has a lengthy train and also contains roule tubes and hand made flower embellishments
Verve 2006
Verve was a fundraiser night put on by Kirsten on November 11th 2006.
Caireen Bird, one of Kirsten’s close friends was going to India for over a month with a team of nurses. They were going to work in the paediatric wards which were lacking many of the basic necessities, and the fatality of newborns was unnecessarily high. Although Kirsten was not going, she saw a need and hence Verve was born.
The night consisted of market stalls selling everything from paintings, to jewellery to clothing. The highlight of the evening was the fashion parade showcasing eight local designers, including Kirsten’s label Domino Seven. Incorporated into the parade were numerous media clips created especially for the show by Fallen Imaginations.
After the parade concluded, live music from two local artists, The Petals and Dan Sweetman, were enjoyed whist the crowd wandered around the markets and enjoyed food from the cafe.
All of the models, hair, makeup, sound, lighting, food and venue for the night were donated and volunteered. There were many helpers who gave selflessly of their time and thanks to this there was an audience of 300 plus attending.
As there were no running costs for the night, the total amount raised was over $1500. This money was taken to India and used to buy equipment including two new incubation cots for the newborns; these have already saved many lives. It also funded paint for the team to decorate and paint beautiful murals in the children’s rooms.
The night not only raised money for a wonderful cause, but brought together many artists from the local community and allowed them a space to showcase their talent.

Market Top 20062006
TAFE design/production assignment.
We were given a selection of fabrics and asked to come up with 3 designs suitable for the Valley Markets. We were allowed to embellish the gament anyway we liked, but thought had to go into the production time. We then selected one of the designs to produce.
Formal Skirt 2005
I was asked to make a formal skirt for a friend. It was a raggamuffin tutu. It consisted of hundreds of 'V' shaped pieces, bits of ribbon and tulle sewed into a gathered waistband. She loved it!
It looked pretty hot! The pictures don't do it justice!
Domino Seven Gunshoot 20052005
Making gun shirts for boys was fun. Making them model for me was even better!
Domino Seven Photoshoot 20052005
TAFE computer assignment. We had to make a creative resume and I needed pictures of my work so I asked the lovely Ashlie from Fallen Rose Media to take some snaps for me. These were the result!
